Students at Rockwell (ages 16 and up) can take classes through Mountainland Applied Technology College if they are looking into an education in: Apprenticeship (ex. truck driving, construction, plumbing), Automotive Technology, Culinary Arts, Computers, Cosmetology, Emergency Healthcare, Healthcare, Manufacturing. Transportation, or Welding.

The nice thing about taking courses through MATC while you’re still in High School is that they waive the cost of tuition, so attending class is nearly free. You are only responsible to pay the registration fee, as well as purchase your own books and materials.

Be aware that you must pass a Career Ready Entrance Assessment that takes about one hour to complete to become admitted into MATC. College-level work will be expected.

NEW: STUDENTS CAN REQUEST MATC CLASSES THROUGH THEIR ASPIRE ACCOUNT. After you have made sure that you meet the GPA requirements and transcript evaluation for MATC, talk to Misty in the Main Office and she’ll show you how.
